Innisfree Skin Care products. Are you a fan or have you always wondered what’s the big deal about them?
I’ve always been rather fussy about my skin care products, particularly when it comes to applying serum, toner and moisturizer. I’m not a fan of most moisturizers cause they generally tend to cause my skin to become extra oily (and eventually pimples will pop out like wee lil noxious mushrooms!) so when folks recommend me Product A and Product B, I’ll be really suspicious! It’s not that I do not trust my friends, but most of the time what works for them doesn’t really work for me
So when Arisa suggested that I try this Innisfree Green Tea Skin Care range, I was somewhat skeptical too. I mean, what would make it different from everything else? Aside from the price that is lol! I poked and pried around, and several of my other friends declared that this range is amazing and doesn’t cause any breakouts! (I have this thing about moisturizers feeling rather oily and sticky on my face so…)
So I shrugged and went, “Oh why the heck not?”. I jumped in to the Althea bandwagon and decided to buy their Green Tea Serum, Skin and Lotion all at one go; thank you ikanbillys for partially sponsoring this purchase as a birthday gift! ^_^
Onwards to the review!
Innisfree Green Tea serum

First impression
Hey I love the packaging! Sleek and simple, and this serum comes in a pump bottle! It’s easier to gauge how much is needed that way in my opinion.

Texture
Always the skeptic, I’d try it on the back of my hand first. To my amazement, it felt like water! Perhaps not as smooth as water, but the texture(?) is pretty fluid. What’s more, the serum dries fast without any ‘sticky residue’ feeling which I detest when using products on my skin.
For this, I use only one pump of serum for my entire face.
Innisfree Green Tea Balancing Skin & Balancing Lotion

First Impression
A squeeze bottle? No wait a minute, the bottle is too hard to be a squeeze bottle! D: Even so, this bottle is what you’ll get for the toners and moisturizers.
Oddly enough Innisfree Green Tea toner isn’t called toner. Instead, it’s labeled as “Balancing Skin”. So if you’re looking for toner in this range, remember this! 😛
The Innisfree ‘moisturizer’ range is divided into two types: Lotions and Creams. Lotions are packaged in bottles (like in the photos above) whereas Cream are in jars (I didn’t get any of those).

Texture
Again, feels like water. The toner is light and fluid; neither oily nor dries out your skin as you use it. Interestingly enough, this feels like moisturizer even though it isn’t.
For both the Balancing Skin toner and lotion, all it takes is just one small pea-sized dot (check out that small-ish white ‘dot’ of lotion above) to cover my entire face. Serious! Any more and it may just make your face feel all melty hahahaha 😛
Verdict
Overall, I’d say it’s money well spent. I’ve been using this range of products for several weeks now and my skin is getting noticeably smoother and less haggard. Of course, sleep plays an important part in getting the haggard part removed! XD
Sorry for not having selfie photos of myself before and after; I completely forgot to take any ‘before’ photos for this! I just hope that this review is enough to give you an idea what the Innisfree Green Tea product range is all about before you decide to say Yay or Nay to it 🙂
